Welcome to Naantali, where Tove Jansson’s stories come alive in the archipelago landscape! In 2013, the residents of Moomin Island will be marvelling at a giant pumpkin:
What happens when Moominmamma grows a gigantic pumpkin? What about when Stinky steals it? Visitors to Moominworld can craft butterflies and take a peek inside the giant hollow pumpkin which has appeared in the Moomin House garden. Do you think it’s possible to sleep in there? The Witch has conjured an even more exciting labyrinth near her house in the middle of the forest.
Remember to reserve at least a whole day for a visit to Moominworld so you have enough time to see the Blue Moomin House, Snork’s Flying Machine, performances by Theatre Emma, the Story Trail, beach, Moomin Pappa’s boat and other fun Moomin places and attractions. And of course, you’re bound to meet the Moomin family and their colourful friends at Moominworld. For children, a hug from one of their favourite characters is often one of the best moments of summer.
Moominworld is open during the summer from 8 June–11 August from 10am–6pm and from 12–25 August from 12 noon–6pm.

NEW PERFORMANCES BY THEATRE EMMA
The price of a Moominworld wristband includes two Moomin plays produced by Linnateatteri, a top-quality children’s theatre. A play based on the giant pumpkin story is performed several times a day in both Finnish and Swedish. The second performance is a musical, suitable for all visitors, regardless of mother tongue.
Winter Magic 16–24 February, daily from 10am–4pm.
Tickets €17, free admission for children under 2 years old. Tickets €15.50 with an S-card. Tickets can also be bought from Lippupiste.
